Transnistria reports decline in industrial production
The Transnistrian region’s industrial output in November fell by 7.8% from October, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the local news agency “PRMinform”.
According to the self-proclaimed ministry of economy of the region, the production of construction materials decreased by 33%, of iron-and-steel products – by 20%, of food products – by 10.7%, while of electricity - by 9.6%. Chemical production dropped by 6.2%.
Compared with October, the output in forestry and wood industry increased by 50%, while in engineering – by 23.8%.
The industrial companies of Transnistria in the first 11 months of the year produced goods to the value of 8.5 billion rubles or 9.7 billion lei. This is by 6.7% more competed with January-November 2011.
