If a stable economic growth of 7-8% a year is ensured, the Transnistrian region can get rid of the budget deficit towards 2023, if the administration costs do not rise, representatives of the Transnistrian ministry of economy estimated in a conference held at the Moscow “M.V Lomonosov” University, IPN reports, with reference to the local press.
As regards the development of the real sector, the enterprises from the left side of the Nistru need investments amounting to US$60 million. The funds are needed for the companies to modernize the equipment and increase labor productivity.
As regards the human resources, the representatives of the self-proclaimed Transnistrian administration said the labor force is growing older. They gave as example the metallurgical plant, where the average age of employees is 46-47 years.
The participants in the discussions said the Transnistrian economy will not recover without support from outside and recommended accessing Russian and Belarusian programs.
