President of Romania Traian Basescu will arrive in Chisinau at 09.30 on February 1. He will be met at the airport by his Moldovan counterpart Nicolae Timofti, Info-Prim Neo reports. The presidential press service informed that the two heads of state will have an official photograph taken at the State Residency at 10.00. A bilateral meeting of 15 minutes will take place afterward. A plenary session of the two delegations will be held between 10.15 and 11.00. Immediately after it, the two officials will make statements for the press. Between 11.30 and 11.40, Traian Basescu will lay flowers at the monument to ruler Stephan the Great. Afterward, he will have a meeting with Prime Minister Vlad Filat and then with Head of Parliament Marian Lupu. In the afternoon, Traian Basescu will meet with the Liberal Party head Mihai Ghimpu. The Romanian President’s visit will end with an official meeting with Moldovan civil society at the conference center “Leogrand”.
