The ex-President of Romania Traian Basescu and his wife received the nationality of Moldova. The decrees to grant Moldovan nationality were signed by President Nicolae Timofti on June 9, IPN reports.

According to the presidential press service, the decrees are to be published in the Official Gazette. Afterward, Traian Basescu and his wife will take an oath of allegiance before Moldova’s ambassador in Bucharest.
