A 20-year-old man from Giurgiulesti village of Cahul district died when he crashed his car into a tree and then into a utility pole last night. The vehicle then overturned. The car was seriously damage, while the driver suffered serious injuries and died as a result of them, Traffic Police Division inspector Dorin Capcelea has told Info-Prim Neo. Sources in the Giurgiulesti mayor’s office said there was nobody else in the car besides the driver. The young man returned from Romania’s Galati, to where he took a friend of his. The people say he was a quiet man who lived with his parents and the younger sister. The same night, a man aged 37 was struck by a car in Danceni village of Ialoveni district. The driver took the injured man to his home, where he died several hours later. The case is being examined.
