Vehicle traffic on the section of Kyiv Street encompassed between the streets Tudor Vladimirescu and Alecu Russo will be suspended from August 25 to September 6.

Kyiv Street, and in particular the section in question is a major traffic artery in Riscani district that sees heavy commuting, connecting the mostly residential Ciocana district to the central part of the city.

The Chisinau City Hall says the closure is in connection with work to apply bituminous treatment to the road.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area and follow the temporary detour signage.
