A number of streets in the center of the capital city will be partially inaccessible to vehicle traffic on Friday, from 12:00 noon, in connection with the funeral of writer Vladimir Beșleagă. The transport will be diverted to adjoining streets, IPN reports.
The Chisinau City Hall said that the traffic restrictions will be applied on the section of Pushkin St between 31 August 1989 St and Ștefan cel Mare si Sfânt Blvd, the section of Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd between Pushkin and Alecsandri streets, the section of Alecsandri Street between Ștefan cel Mare și Sfânt Blvd and Mateevici St, and the section of Mateevici St between Alecsandri and Bulgaria streets.
Drivers are urged to comply with the requests of the traffic police, to show patience and discipline in traffic, without deviations from the Road Traffic Regulations.
Vladimir Beșleagă passed away on February 25, at the age of 93. The day of his funeral was declared a day of national mourning. The mourning rally will begin at "Nicolae Sulac" National Palace at 09:30 a.m. The farewell ceremony will be held at 12:00 at the Central Cemetery located on Armeneasca Street.
