Traffic restrictions in Chisinau announced for September 18

A umber of streets in Chisinau will be closed for traffic on September 18 for the duration of the VeloHora Festival, Info-Prim Neo reports. PR inspector of the Traffic Police Division Aurelia Mija said the Great National Assembly Square – the section between the streets Pushkin and Banulescu-Bodoni – will be inaccessible to traffic between 10am and 6pm. The cycling race will start at 12 noon. The participants will move along the following route: Stefan cel Mare – Ciuflea –Dacia – Trandafirilor – Gagarin – Albisoara – Renasterii – T. Vladimirescu – Calea Orheiului – Petricani – M. Viteazul – Columna – Calea Iesilor streets and up to Alunelul Park. When back, they will go along Calea Iesilor St and Stefan cel Mare Blvd. up to the Great National Assembly Square. The race will end at 13.50. The cyclists will be accompanied by police cars. The traffic police will restrict movement along the route of the race. The drivers are asked to respect the road signs and instructions of the police in order to avoid accidents and traffic jams.
