Traffic in the center of Chisinau will be restricted this morning, January 13, in connection with two planned protests, the National Patrolling Inspectorate said, quoted by IPN.
One of the protests will be staged in the square of the National Opera House “Maria Biesu”. Three columns of people will come together there. The first column will set out from the Cultural Center “Gaudeamus” and will move along the streets Pan Halippa, Ismail, Bucuresti, and Sfatul Tarii. The second column will start from the Circus and will go along the streets Grigore Vieru, Mitropolit Gavriil Banulescu Bodoni and Stefan cel Mare si Sfant, while the third will set off from the industrial park TRACOM and will travel along Mihai Viteazul and Stefan cel Mare si Sfant streets.
The second protest will be mounted in the Great National Assembly Square. After the demonstration, the participants will march to 24 N. Iorga St.
During the protests, the vehicles will be diverted onto adjoining roads. The police count on the responsibility of the protest organizers and urge the participants to exercise their freedom of expression peacefully and to report when they see somebody or something suspicious or are witnesses to a situation of public disorder on 112 or to approach the closest police officer.
