Trucks will travel only on the internal lanes of the roadway on the bridge of Ismail St in Chisinau as new road signs are being set up in the area, IPN reports.

The Chisinau City Hall said the measure was taken following the examination of the state of the bridge on Ismail St so as to reduce the negative impact on the peripheral elements of the construction.

Also, the contractor that is responsible for the repair works on the bridge of Mihai Viteazul St reported a series of difficulties caused by the trucks travelling on the bridge, which generate vibrations and hamper the technological process.

This way, for the bridge not to be fully closed for a longer period of time, the General Urban Mobility Division urges truck drivers to obey the restrictions imposed by the road signs and to avoiding using the bridge.
