Traffic police officers will be on guard along Stefan cel Mare Blvd. in Chisinau, at all the intersections from Banulescu-Bodoni St until Ismail St. They will deal with the vehicles parked illegally, which cause traffic jams. Such a request was made by Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca on February 27, Info-Prim Neo reports. The mayor asked that by at least one traffic police officer should work especially at the intersections of Stefan cel Mare Blvd. and the streets Banulescu-Bodoni, Pushkin, M. Eminescu, V. Parcalab, V. Alecsandri, Armeneasca, Tighina, and Ismail. Initially, the traffic police will patrol only Stefan cel Mare Blvd., but later also Alexandru cel Bun St and the adjoining streets so as to fluidize traffic. Dorin Chirtoaca instructed the Architecture Division to draw up a scheme to set up parking lots in the Great National Assembly Square.
