The Traffic Police employees are going through the second stage of the reassessment process. It consists of a written and an oral test designed to assess the professional skills and aptitudes of the employees of the Traffic Police Division. Traffic Police chief Serghei Diaconu has told Info-Prim Neo that the written test designed according to the European model will last for about an hour. The employees will only mark the right answers, but in some cases will also have to write the answer. The oral test includes questions put by the examination commission. “Both of the tests will center only on what a police officer on duty should know – the legislation, the internal regulations and the ethics code of the police officer,” said Serghei Diaconu. After the oral test, the commission will announce the results. The ‘suitable’ police officers will continue to work in the Division, the ‘partially suitable’ ones will do additional training courses, while the ‘unsuitable’ ones will have to look for a job in another division of the Ministry of the Interior or will be discharged. The tests are taken at the Police Academy “Stefan cel Mare” starting at 9am. Staring with September 24, the Traffic Police officers from all over the country have been given a test that consists of two stages – appraisal of the physical fitness and preparedness and assessment of the professional skills and abilities. A commission composed of 11 specialists representing different institutions, including the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes, the academic sphere and the National Participatory Center, was set up to analyze the results.
