Traffic moves with difficulty on Balti-Criva and Chisinau-Leuseni roads

Prime Minister Pavel Filip convened the Commission for Emergencies in connection with the bad weather. He instructed the competent bodies to act promptly in case of emergencies and insisted on close cooperation with the local public authorities, IPN has learned from the Government’s press service.

According to the information presented in the meeting, the national roads are passable, but traffic moves with difficulty on the Balti-Criva and Chisinau-Leuseni roads. A number of 331 vehicles worked at night and spread over 3,000 tonnes of antiskid material.

There were set up three crisis cells: North, Center and South. The police provide support to ensure the safe travel of buses that transport children to school.

In the morning, over 200 villages and towns were partially or fully disconnected from the power supply.

The persons in difficulty can call the emergency service 901.
