The traffic light installed at the intersection of Varnita, Calea Basarabiei, and Ismail streets in the capital is being tested today by employees of the Chisinau City Hall General Directorate for Urban Mobility, together with patrol police officers. The testing is conducted between 10:00 and 16:00, IPN reports.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, the traffic light aims to regulate traffic flow, helping to reduce congestion at the intersection. Additionally, it seeks to lower the number of accidents recorded in the area and enhance safety for all road users.

Police officers will be present to direct traffic and prevent congestion. Drivers are urged to remain attentive and exercise responsibility on the road.
