Traffic accidents claim three lives
A young man and a couple died Thursday in road accidents caused by speeding and inattentiveness to traffic, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Traffic Police Division.
An 18-year-old man lost control of his Audi and crashed it into a tree on a local road in Sangerei district. The young man died on the spot.
A husband and wife from Sipoteni village, Calarasi were heading for Chisinau when their Opel collided head-on with a Mercedes coming from the opposite direction. The impact was so powerful that the two cars were thrown about 50 meters from each other. The man from the Opel died immediately, while his wife on the way to the hospital in about half an hour. The driver of the Mercedes, who is reportedly a police officer, is in a serious condition in the hospital in Calarasi. The traffic police are investigating the case.
