Although Moldova is considered to be an agrarian country, the businesses in agriculture are not very attractive for young entrepreneurs. Thus, according to statistical data from the State Chamber of Registration, the most in demand types of activity are retail, real estate transactions and wholesale trade. At the same time, activities in healthcare, social assistance and construction enjoy the lowest demand, Info-Prim Neo reports. The analysis of statistical data shows that on July 1, the State Register contained information on 162,360 legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, who had requested to register enterprises with statuses of limited liability, individual entrepreneur, joint stock company, as well as branches, chapters, collective societies, limited partnerships, lease enterprises, inter-household enterprises, collective households, peasant household associations. Thus, 49% of the enterprises have Ltd status and 41% of them are individual enterprises. The data shows that the number of stricken off enterprises, up to the end of this year’s June, is decreasing and sums at 1,612, compared to 1,762 in last year’s same period. Most of the enterprises are registered with the Chisinau Territorial Office (TO), i.e. about 95,000. Meanwhile, the number of enterprises registered with territorial offices and TO Chisinau, in the first semester of last year, is decreasing and sums at 1,949 at the regional level and 1,307 in Chisinau, compared to 2,028 and 1,532, respectively, for last year’s same period.
