Romania’s Embassy in Chisinau said the volume of trade between Romania and Moldova continues to increase. In the first 11 months of 2014, the trade between the two countries rose by over 19.03% compared with the same period of 2013, IPN reports.
The bilateral trade came to almost US$1.5 billion. Romania’s exports to Moldova amounted to US$1.028 billion, up 20.51% on the same period a year before, while imports from Moldova – to over US$461 million, an increase of 15.88%.
Romania exports to Moldova mainly mineral products (over 40% of the exports), machines and equipment (over 17%), and imports chiefly apparatus and equipment (over 48%), and metals and articles from metal (over 17%).
