Tracom industrial park to be launched early next year

The official launch of the industrial park Tracom was scheduled for the beginning of 2012, Info-Prim Neo reports. Ion Lupan, division head at the Ministry of Economy, said in an interview that by the end of this year there will be registered most of the resident companies of the new industrial park, including state-run companies that are going to be privatized and national and foreign private companies. According to Ion Lupan, offers continue to be collected for the investment contest to privatize the state holdings in the nine companies working on the territory of the former tractor plant. These are the joint stock companies ForjaCom, Presudor, Zidaru-SV, MaPasAuto, Aralit, Reupies, Radiator, Dotarcom, and Bicotra. The deadline for the submission of offers is September 21, 17.00. The investment contest was announced by the Ministry of Economy through the Public Property Agency following the transformation of the tractor plant and its territory into an industrial park. The Government’s decision allowing using over 32 hectares of land for the purpose has been taken this June. The state holdings in the nine companies vary between 61% and 94%. The main objectives of the contest are to harmoniously integrate the given companies into the industrial park, diversify the industrial production activities of these companies, attract sustainable investments and create new workplaces. The winners of the investment contest will be selected according to the following criteria: price offered for the holdings and the payment terms, volume of proposed investments, settling of these companies’ debts to the state and employees, the obligation to register as residents of the industrial park Tracom.
