As the previous years, a number of trolleybuses and buses in Chisinau will be decorated with lights. Also, the tourist trolleybus will travel around the city with Santa Claus as a guide. The children will enjoy sweet surprises, IPN reports.

“The preparations for inaugurating the Christmas Fair and the Christmas tree are underway. All the districts of Chisinau are being adorned. The events that will be staged on the occasion of the winter holidays, the fair and the decorations set up in the city will be launched as soon as we are ready,” said mayor Ion Ceban.

“We thank from the start the partners that help us to organize the events and for the electric generators that will be donated to us and that we will later pass on to our educational institutions.”

This year, the Christmas tree was placed in the Great National Assembly Square as the Cathedral Square is under repair. The cultural and artistic events on the winter holidays start on December 17 and end on January 15.
