The Moldovan National Agency for Inbound Tourism (ANTRIM) and the Regional Development Agency on the left bank of the Nistru have agreed on a partnership to improve touristic offers on both sides. The opening conference of the project gathered other 50 attendants, members of various associations, experts and professionals in the field of tourism and beneficiaries of the project, IPN reports.
The partnership will be implemented between July 2016 and November 2017. During this period, owners and managers of rural B&Bs, hotels, tourism agencies, wineries, handicrafts centers, museums and tourist guides will attend joint trainings. The program includes workshops on both sides of the Nistru, the developing of tourist itineraries and their promotion at international exhibitions. Additionally, a tourist info center will be opened in Chisinau to serve as a platform for promoting local tourism businesses.
The project “Strengthening business relationships in the field of tourism between both sides of the Nistru River by developing sustainable partnerships” is implemented within the framework of the European program of confidence building between the inhabitants of the two banks of the Nistru River, implemented by UNDP Moldova.
