Weather forecasters issued a yellow code warning for heavy showers with hail and high winds for the period between 9pm on June 7 and 9pm on June 8, IPN reports.

According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, torrential rain with thunder and lighting is expected in the northern part of the country on the night of June 8, with extension to southern Moldova during the day. There will be precipitation of 15-30 l/m2 in the northern and central districts, in parts with hail and strong winds that will blow in gusts at a speed of up to 15-20 m/s.

On June 8, nighttime temperatures will oscillate between +13 and +18 degrees Celsius. In northern Moldova, daytime temperatures will vary between +15 and +20 degrees Celsius, while in the central and southern districts between +21 and +26 degrees Celsius. On June 9, there will be +20 …+25 degrees Celsius, while on June 10 temperatures will rise to 29 degrees Celsius.

Thunderstorms are also forecast for this Sunday and the start of next week.
