A number of communities in the country were affected by the torrential rain of May 28. According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the rain damaged a road section in Criuleni district and 75 hectares of corn in Leova district.

Rain with hail fell in Cosnita village of Dubasari district and in Slobozia-Dusca village of Criuleni district. The commissions for emergencies are assessing the damage done by the hail.

The rain accompanied by gusts of wind downed a tree on Lacului St in Chisinau. This damaged the power lines and the metallic roof of a house. No one was hurt.
