To what countries Moldovans can travel and to what they cannot yet

The Moldovan citizens who want to travel to the neighboring states Ukraine and Romania should know that both of the countries kept the 14-day self-isolation regime upon entrance. Moreover, the Moldovans can enter and stay in Ukraine only if they present a health insurance policy that covers the costs associated with the treatment of COVID-19, IPN reports quoting data updated on July 3.

The citizens of third countries, including Moldova, cannot enter Bulgaria, for transit purpose as well, until July 15.

The Turkish authorities annulled the entrance and stay restrictions for foreigners, but keeps its terrestrial border with Iran closed. The Moldovans can enter Turkey by road, sea and air. Flights between Moldova and Turkey were resumed on July 1. Plane passengers are obliged to wear masks on the aircraft and at the airport.

The Moldovans can travel to the Czech Republic only if they have a long-stay visa, a temporary or permanent stay permit, a work contract signed after the lifting of the state of emergency (May 17, 2020) and need to present a negative COVID-19 test certificate or should self-isolate for 14 days.

The travel restrictions in France were maintained after July 1 and only the persons with a French permit of stay or work, lease and health insurance contracts, students and persons who follow medical treatment can enter it.

The Moldovans can travel to Germany only if they have reasonable motives that must be proven when entering the country and must also have a legal permit of stay/residence in such vital areas as health, food industry, freight transport, etc.

The Italian authorities on July 1 extended the entrance restrictions for Moldovans. The Moldovan citizens who have a permit of stay/residence, a work contract or serious health-related reasons can enter Italy by observing particular conditions, including indicate the place where they will self-isolate for 14 days.

The Israeli authorities announced the gradual relaxation of the anti-epidemic measures until August 1. The foreigners cannot enter Israel until then.

Russia extended the entrance restrictions until August 1.
