The leader of the Communist Party (PCRM) Vladimir Voronin said the list of candidates for the next parliamentary elections will not include Mark Tkachuck, Grigore Petrenco and Iurie Munteanu. In a news conference, Vladimir Voronin said that all the candidates who will be written on the list will be members of the party and will be selected according to the performance rating, IPN reports.
Vladimir Voronin said that those who submitted applications to be excluded from the party will not be on the lists. “One must deserve to be in the team. They must prove that they deserve it and that they are consistent in their acts,” he stated.
The Communist leader noted that Grigore Petrenco acts against the party and cannot be included in the list. The three former activists allegedly didn’t form a group as they pursue their own interests and do not come on well between them. The MPs were probably bought as the dissension started in an electoral year.
Vladimir Voroning stated that the list of election candidates hasn’t been compiled yet. A group of persons was created to work out the mechanism for selecting the candidates. The party started to work on its electoral program on May 1. Since then there were held 1,100 party meetings and will be held another about 300. Approximately 1,800 proposals for improving the election program were submitted. The platform will be adopted in a plenary meeting of the party’s Central Committee on September 15.
Speaking about the latest developments in the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), Vladimir Voronin said the disagreements appeared because the 1 billion lei about which the head of the Parliament’s commission on economy, budget and finance Veaceslav Ionita said that would be appropriated from the state budget could not be shared out. Such disputes and scandals will become more frequent in the PLDM and in the Democratic Party before the November 30 legislative elections.
