Harsh replies were exchanged by the leader of the Common Action Civic Congress Party Mark Tkaciuk and the leader of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) Vlad Bilețchi. According to Tkachuk, the AUR is an inexistent party that appears before the voters as a party with chances of entering Parliament owing to the PSRM, which promotes this idea. The AUR leader Vlad Bilețchi replied Tkachuk’s frustration is due to the fact that his party wasn’t included in the PSRM-PCRM electoral bloc, IPN reports.

Ex-Communist Mark Tkachuk said the PSRM intentionally promotes the view that the AUR will enter the future Parliament so as to mislead the unionist voters and to prevent them from migrating to the PAS.

“All the media sources controlled by the PSRM say a party that actually does not exist has a very high rating. The PSRM attracts to Parliament this party, the AUR, which is s fascist party as many Romanian MPs described it, even if the PSRM says this party struggles for union. This is done in order to attract votes from Maia Sandu and the PAS,” Mark Tkachuk stated in the talk show “Natalia Morari’s Politics” on TV8 channel.

In reply, the AUR leader classed these accusations as aberrant, saying Tkaciuk’s assertions come after his party was left outside the PCRM-PSRM electoral bloc.

“He is also dissatisfied and frustrated because his party wasn’t accepted into the PCRM-PSRM bloc. He tries to attract attention, to intervene in the struggle against unionists, the Romanians who come from over the Prut and will conquer us. But the Russian ethnics realize that this is a lie. These former Communists attempt to return to politics,” stated Vlad Bilețchi.

The Common Action Civic Congress Party and the Alliance for the Union of Romanians were registered as contenders in the July 11 snap parliamentary elections. The first will be under No. 2 on the ballot, while the second under No. 14.
