Tiraspol’s terrorist attack allegations unproven, says Reintegration Bureau

The versions of the alleged terrorist attack presented by Tiraspol “are not proven in the manner established by law, are speculative and do not reflect investigations”, representatives of the Reintegration Bureau told Europa Liberă.

Chisinau asked Tiraspol, through the correspondence channel of political representatives, to present detailed information about the alleged foiled terrorist attack and to hand over the detained persons into the custody of the “national law enforcement bodies in order to carry out investigations”, the Bureau said.

However, Chisinau’s request was left unanswered. “Therefore, suspicions persist regarding the veracity of the versions presented by Tiraspol in the public space”, the Bureau added.

On March 9, Transnistria’s so-called ministry of state security announced it had prevented a “terrorist attack” against several “officials” of the unrecognized republic, which had been allegedly plotted by Ukraine’s special services. Authorities in Kyiv rejected the accusations, calling them a provocation directed by Moscow. Chisinau declared that it does not have such information.
