The admission session at the Tiraspol University “Taras Shevchenko” started. More specialties were instituted at this university, but the number of budget-funded places was decreased. Applications can be filed from Monday, June 17, IPN reports.

According to “Novyi Region” Agency, the Transnistrian administration decided to reduce the number of budget-funded places because some of the specialties, such as agriculture and teacher training, are not in demand.

The Tiraspol University’s pro-rector Natalia Kunichenko said that there were opened new specialties at the Faculty of Physical Education. There will be trained not only teachers, but also coaches and specialists in physical education. At the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, applications will be accepted for studying on a contract basis at the applied informatics specialty, while at the Faculty of Economy – at the specialty of management.

The applicants must submit the medical certificate, the diploma issued after passing the common exams and documents showing that they finished school.

The deadline for submissions is July 12. The admission exams will be sat on July 16.
