Tiraspol refuses Moldovagaz and Energocom aid. Expecting deliveries from Gazprom

"Tiraspoltransgaz" refused the aid proposed by "Moldovagaz" and "Energocom". This information was confirmed to IPN by Vadim Ceban, acting head of Moldovagaz.

In a reply sent on January 2 and seen by IPN, the Transnistrian authorities rejected the offer, claiming that it would imply the purchase of gas at "higher and unstable" prices. Tiraspol also said it expects Russia's Gazprom to resume gas deliveries under the contract that expires in 2026, IPN reports.

Yesterday, the Moldovagaz and Energocom companies announced that they are ready to help Tiraspoltransgaz in organizing the purchase of gas on any European platform on market conditions in order to provide the residents of the left bank of the Dniester with energy resources in the current crisis situation.

Natural gas can be delivered through various alternative transportation routes to the Moldovan border on the basis of an agency agreement with Tiraspoltransgaz.
