The Transnistrian leader Vadim Krasnoselsky handed over a list of ten Moldovan functionaries the charges against whom will be dropped to President Igor Dodon. The Head of State informed about this after his meeting with Vadim Krasnoselsky that was held in Holercani on March 30, IPN reports.
Igor Dodon said the Transnistrian side simplified the procedure for crossing the administrative line. It was agreed that the Moldovan administration and the authorities of Transnistria’s Dubasari district next week will have discussions to agree the mechanism for ensuring access to the farmland located beyond the Rybnitsa – Tiraspol road.
The joint control on the Moldovan-Ukrainian border was another subject for discussion. Given the concerns expressed by the Transnistrian side, Igor Dodon said the experts of the President’s staff will assess the invoked economic risks and, if these are confirmed, solutions will be proposed in this regard. The President’s position on the issue is that the implementation of the joint control mechanism should not cause economic damage to the Transnistrian region.
Igor Dodon also said that a part of the problems announced earlier are being dealt with and voiced hope that solutions could be identified in a month so that a new round of talks in the 5+2 format could be held to discuss these.
The next meeting of Igor Dodon and Vadim Krasnoselsky will take place at the beginning of May.
