Tiraspol leader Vadim Krasnoselski says he has received no aid proposals from Chisinau. According to Krasnoselski, all claims by the Moldovan authorities in this regard are lies. The statements in this regard were made at the operational meeting, convened in the context of the energy crisis, IPN reports.
Vadim Krasnoselski says that there is a lot of speculation about the energy crisis and that Gazprom's cutting off of gas supplies to the Transnistrian region is "the result of Moldovagaz's non-payment of debts, not Tiraspoltransgaz".
"There is a lot of information being circulated that the Republic of Moldova wanted to help the region - it's nothing but lies", says Vadim Krasnoselski. The Tiraspol leader emphasizes that he personally has not received any such proposal.
Krasnoselski makes it clear that there has been no proposal for help, even though Tiraspol has approached him not once, namely "not to block exports from the region, to open bank accounts for Transnistrian economic agents, not to detain their goods at customs for months, etc." "Was there ever a solution from Moldova? Never. Moldova offers Transnistria nothing and the aim is to strangle it. The situation is being exploited to create panic, to blackmail", Vadim Krasnoselski said.
The constitutional authorities of the Republic of Moldova have recently announced their readiness to provide assistance to the Transnistrian region. At the end of the year, President Maia Sandu announced that the Tiraspol leaders had refused the help proposed by the Chisinau authorities to overcome the crisis in the Transnistrian region caused by the cessation of gas supplies from Russia. But the government and foreign partners have proposed humanitarian aid in the form of food, medicines, fuel, generators and transportation of sick people from the left bank to the right.
The Moldovagaz and Energocom companies have also announced that they are ready to help Tiraspoltransgaz to organize the purchase of gas on any European platform, but the Transnistrian authorities rejected the offer.
