Tiraspol: KGB will coordinate movement of OSCE Mission representatives over the Nistru

The representatives of the OSCE Mission to Moldova will be able to go to Transnistria only though two checkpoints – Bender-Chisinau and Dubasari-Criuleni. This does not yet apply to the Mission’s head and to the representatives who take part in the meetings of the Joint Control Commission. The Transnistrian KGB is responsible for coordinating the movement of the representatives of the OSCE Mission to the eastern districts. The decision takes effect on February 1, IPN reports.

According to “Novostipmr” Agency, the so-called national security committee of Transnistria ascertained that the relations between the region’s administration and the OSCE Mission to Moldova have worsened. The Mission’s representatives are accused of repeatedly violating a number of rules and powers in the Transnistrian region. No details about the violations are yet given.

It is only stated that these measures are temporary and will be suspended immediately after the relations between Tiraspol and the OSCE Mission to Moldova improve.
