Tiraspol gets new buses and trolleybuses
The Minsk City Council, from Belarus, has offered the Transnistrian region a gift of 5 new buses and 5 trolleybuses, as well as two specialized vehicles for street cleaning, two ambulances and a fire-fighting system, reports “Novyi Region” on their website, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
According to Tiraspol Trolleybus Depot manager Martik Nersisyan, a group of mechanics from the left bank of the Nistru will travel to Minsk for an internship. Their instruction is necessary in the context in which the administration of Tiraspol intends to modernize the trolleybus park, and the experience accumulated will help the specialists operate modern tech, added Martik Nersisyan.
Tiraspol and Minsk signed a sister city agreement in 2002.
