Tiraspol companies to be informed about DCFTA advantages and obligations
Companies in Tiraspol will be informed about the priorities, advantages and obligations that come with the creation of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA). The round table at which companies from Tiraspol will learn about DCFTA will be organized within the third round of negotiations regarding the free trade agreement, which takes place on September 10-14 in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Economy, at the third round of negotiations, the sides will continue to work on the final form of the agreement’s legal texts, but the main topic will be the fee offers for accessing the commodities market.
The Ministry of Economy, as coordinator of the negotiations with the EU, presented the European Commission the sixth quarterly report about the implementation of EU recommendations regarding DCFTA negotiations. According to the report, the Moldovan Parliament adopted laws meant to prepare the national economy for a liberalized regime with the EU. Such laws include the Law on general principles applied for food safety and for the creation of an Agency for Food Safety, the Law on competition and the Law on state aid.
On March 20-22, the first round of negotiations regarding the DCFTA took place in Chisinau. The second one was organized on June 11-15 in Brussels. The agreement regarding the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area between Moldova and the EU will help Moldova’s integration in the European economic space and refers to the gradual liberalization of commodity trade, reduced customs taxes, technical and other no-tax barriers, the cancelation of quantity restrictions and the synchronization of national legislation with the EU laws.
