Romania, as a member state of the European Union, constantly promotes the interests of the official Chisinau in Brussels and in the other European capitals, facilitating thus Moldova’s European course, President Nicolae Timofti said during a reception given on the National Day of Romania in the evening of December 3, Info-Prim Neo reports. The unconditional friendship between the two states enables to implement numerous political, economic and cultural projects. The Moldovan-Romanian cooperation covers practically all the areas, from energy security to education, stated Nicolae Timofti. He thanked the Romanian authorities for the support provided to Moldova. “The Moldovan people and authorities will know to appreciate the actions and gestures of friendship of Romania,” said the head of state. For his part, Romania’s Ambassador in Chisinau Marius Lazurca spoke about the cooperation between the two states during the last year and, especially, about the assistance offered by Romania and the projects initiated with its support. He mentioned the building of an aqueduct in Rosu village of Cahul district and the contribution to constructing a blood transfusion center in Cahul. Among the most important political events, the ambassador enumerated Nicolae Timofti’s visit to Bucharest and the joint meeting of the Governments of the two countries. “Romania contributes to Moldovan people’s lives in essential areas for the European road of Chisinau,” said Marius Lazurca.
