TI-Moldova demands punishing servants who do not make income statements known
Transparency International-Moldova calls on the authorities to penalize the persons who did not comply with the law on the publication of the income statement. It also demands amending the law so as to make the mechanisms for submitting and examining the statements more efficient, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the NGO.
Transparency International-Moldova requests punishing the public servants who did not present income statements within the set terms without well-founded reasons, who avoid submitting income statements or indicated incorrect data in the statements, who violated the method of keeping and using the information from the statements while fulfilling their duties or examining them.
The NGO also asks making public the information about the number of persons who did not submit income statements and what measures were taken.
If measures are undertaken, the authorities will show their openness and will take a first step towards modifying and applying the legislation on the declaration and examination of the incomes and property, considers Transparency International-Moldova.
