Three girls aged 11, 12 and, respectively, 15 drowned in the Nistru River near Butor village of the Transnistrian region, IPN reports.
According to the Transnistrian authorities, the three friends went to gather cherries with the parents’ consent. As the girls didn’t return in the evening, the relatives sounded the alarm.
Girls’ clothes were found on the bank. The rescuers searched a 3 km-long section of the river. The bodies were found on the water near India village.
At the end of May, three brothers aged 7, 9 and 11 drowned in a pond in Pohrebeni village of Orhei district. After almost 12 hours of searches, the rescuers discovered the bodies of the boys, who were seen last crossing the pond in a boat.
