74% of the participants in a survey think that things in Moldova are going in a wrong direction. 20.5% think that the direction is right, 4.8% don’t know and 0.6% didn’t answer. These are the results of a survey realized by the Center of Marketing and Sociological Investigations CBS-AXA, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Things got a little better since our survey in March. Only 74% think the direction is wrong (they were 80.2% in March). However, I would say this is a marked improvement. Three quarters of the population thinks that the country is moving in a wrong direction, which isn’t really surprising”, declared the CBS-AXA director on Tuesday, July 24, at a press conference. 50.9% of respondents think that the current political forces are unable to get the country out of difficulty; 40.2% think the contrary, while 9% don’t know or refused to answer. More than half of respondents consider that in order get the country out of the current situation, new political forces are needed. 29% of the questioned people blamed the Alliance for European Integration for the poor situation. 22.8% blame the opposition (the Party of Communists), nearly 10% blame the Parliament and 8.5% the voters, etc. Asked about how they wish Moldova to be in 20 years, 82.4% answered they wanted it to be a neutral and independent country. 81.1% want it to be a reintegrated country, meaning that the Transnistrian conflict should be settled. 57.1% want Moldova to attract qualified workers from other countries and 55.1% want Moldova to become a member of the European Union. The survey was realized between July 6 and July 15, 2012. 1228 people over 18 years of age from 91 localities have been questioned. The sample is representative for the adult population of Moldova, with an error margin of ± 3%.
