Thirty-one persons diagnosed with COVID-19 are now receiving treatment at the Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital “Toma Ciorbă” in Chisinau. Three of them are in a serious state. The condition of the other patients is medium grave and satisfactory. The state of health of the two children with the novel coronavirus admitted to the Children’s Contagious Diseases Hospital is medium grave, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu was quoted by IPN as saying.

After the March 19 meeting of the National Focal Point, the minister stated that the first woman diagnosed with COVID-19 is still at the National Clinical Hospital “Timofei Moșneaga”. Her state of health is satisfactory. The first sample taken from her tested negative for COVID-19 and a second test is to be done. If this is negative too, the woman will be discharged.

As many as 36 cases of infection with the novel coronavirus have been confirmed in Moldova so far. One infected person died, while another one was cured. Twenty-one of the 36 cases are cases of import. The persons returned infected from Italy, France, the UK, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.
