Three persons hurt in road accident involving ambulance
A doctor and his assistant suffered fractures when their ambulance collided with a minibus at the intersection of the streets Mihai Eminescu and Bucuresti in Chisinau. A woman aged 20 who was traveling in the minibus received injuries. As a result of the impact, the minibus overturned, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to Eufalia Negreata, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, the ambulance was taking a sick child to the Mother and Child Center. It had the flasher and siren on. The minibus running on route No. 127 did not give way to the ambulance.
This is the fourth case in the last few months when ambulances are involved in traffic accidents. In March, an ambulance with the siren and flasher on was hit by a minibus at the intersection of the streets Shchusev and Serghei Lazo. The doctor sustained a cranial-cerebral trauma, while the patient who was in the ambulance suffered a concussion and a thoracic trauma.
