Three parties would enter Parliament if elections were held next Sunday

Three parties would enter the legislative body if parliamentary elections were held next Sunday, shows the iData Barometer for March 2025. These are the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) for which 27.3% of the respondents would vote, the Party of Socialists (PSRM) for which 12.5% would vote and the “Victory” Bloc for which 11.7% would vote. 5.4% of those surveyed would not vote, almost 20% do not know who they would vote for and slightly over 2% did not answer.

"If we take and calculate the percentages of the decided respondents, who have the option to vote, we have five political parties that would enter Parliament: the PAS with 35%, the PSRM with 16%, the “Victory” Political Bloc with 15%, the Alternative Bloc with 7.8%, and Our Party with 5%," the director of the sociological company Data Inteligente Mihai Bologan stated in a news conference hosted by IPN.

According to Mihai Bologan, the poll does not show the potential vote of the diaspora and among citizens living on the left bank of the Nistru.

"A Parliament made up of voters living on the territory of Moldova, without the left bank of the Nistru, would look like this: the PAS would gain 45 seats, the PSRM – 21, the “Victory” Bloc - 19, the Alternative Bloc would enter with 10 seats and Our Party – with 6 seats," said the iData director.

According to the survey, President Maia Sandu is the most active politician in the Republic of Moldova. She was mentioned by 12.4% of the respondents.

"Among those with rises are Ion Ceban who was quite active in the last month – 6.7%, Igor Dodon – 6.5%, in 3rd place. Ilan Shor – 4.5%, Prime Minister Dorin Recean – 3.5%," noted Mihai Bologan. The question was open, and Renato Usatyi, Alexandr Stoianoglo, Irina Vlah and Tudor Ulyanovski are no longer among the most popular politicians.

The survey was conducted during March 14-25 and covered a sample of 1,007 people from 294 localities. The maximum sampling error is ±3%.
