Three parties discuss nomination of Maia Sandu as common candidate

The leaders of the PAS, PPPDA and PLDM discussed the nomination of Maia Sandu as a common candidate for the October 30 presidential elections. Maia Sandu made such an announcement in a press briefing, saying that the PPPDA and PLDM during the next few days will convoke their executive bodies to take a final decision, IPN reports.

The leader of the PAS said the results of the second poll were made public and these show that she will gain more votes and has bigger chances of beating the Socialists’ candidate Igor Dodon than Andrei Nastase.

The candidate thanked the representatives of the other two parties for their confidence and support, noting she appreciates the wisdom and courage of Andrei Nastase to withdraw.

The politician called on the members and supporters of the three parties to vote for her in the elections, promising she will meet their expectations.
