Three of those 5 kidnapped policemen set free
Three of those 5 policemen arrested by the intelligence services of the self-proclaimed Nistrean Republic were set free, and two are still seized in Tiraspol.
According to the head of the Press Center of the Ministry of Interior, Ala Meleca, on Saturady, around 8:00 PM the intelligence services from Tiraspol set free the head of the Criminal Police of the Tighina Police Office, Alexandru Pohila and two superior officers of the same subdivision, Boris Vasiliev and Igor Datco. Another two policemen Anatol Mangar and Constantin Condrea are still in detention.
Those five policemen, including one investigating a murder case, were arrested on June 14 in Tiraspol. The Minister of Interior, Ghoerghe Papuc qualified this action as kidnapping, justifying that there is no ground for the arrest. More, he believes that the member of the joint group was kidnapped by the intelligence services headed by Antiufeev because the criminal group identified by the policeman is under the protection of these services.
According to the version of the separatist forces, those 5 policemen were arrested because “they were preparing kidnaps of Transnistrian statesmen.”
