Three Moldovan female wrestlers to compete in final of World Cup

Wrestlers Anastasia Nikita, Mariana Cherdivară and Irina Rîngaci will contend in the final of their weight classes at the Individual World Cup in Belgrade. All the three until now have won by two victories, IPN reports.

In the 57 kg class, Anastasia Nikita trounced Italy’s Arianna Carieri 10-0 and Turkey’s Mehlika Ozturk 15-5. In the final, Anastasia, who is the only Moldovan female wrestler who qualified for the Tokyo Olympics, plays against Anshu Anshu of India.

In the 59 kg class, Mariana Cherdivară defeated Ukraine’s Katerina Zelenickh and Turkey’s Elif Yanik. In the final, the wrestler from Călărași meets Svetlana Lipatova of Russia. In the 65 kg class, Irina Rîngaci beat Azerbaijan’s Elis Manolova and Turkeys’ Asli Demir. In the final, the 19-year-old athlete faces Tetiana Rizhko of Ukraine.
