Three men seriously hurt in traffic accident
Three men were rushed to the hospital in a serious condition after they had been involved in a road accident.
Ieronim Ciumas, the head of the Chisinau Emergency Hospital, has told Info-Prim Neo that three residents of Cimiseni village of Criuleni district were traveling on a motorcycle while under the influence. At the entrance to Vadul lui Voda town, the motorcycle skidded and overturned. The men aged 31, 32 and, respectively, 36 were seriously injured. Two of them sustained severe cranial-cerebral traumas and cerebral comas, while the third suffered a concussion.
A 47-year-old man was taken to the Emergency Hospital with serious associated traumas, contusion of the thorax and internal organs and fracture of the ribs after he fell from a height of 3 meters at a villa in Stauceni town.
Two women aged 48 and 52 suspected of having A (H1N1) flu were admitted to the infectious diseases hospital “Toma Ciorba”. One of them is the mother of the woman who returned recently from Bulgaria and was taken earlier to the same hospital on suspicion she got pandemic flu.
A 21-year-old woman tried to kill herself by taking pills. She was admitted to Saint Trinity Hospital for detox.
Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau ambulance doctors responded to 753 calls, dealing with 72 cases of trauma, 24 deliveries, 9 strokes, three myocardial infarctions. 366 persons have been hospitalized.
