Three persons were hurt in a road accident in Chisinau on Thursday evening. Paulina Iakimovski, senior specialist of the Traffic Police Department’s PR Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that a 1401 taxi Daewoo-Nexia collided with a BMW car at the intersection of Pan Halippa and Alexei Mateevici streets. As a result of the impact, the taxi driver aged 56 and the 19-year-old driver of the BMW suffered contusions, while a passenger of the tax aged 36 received facial injuries. A 30-year-old man was injured in a car accident on the Chisinau-Straseni route. The driver escaped death when his car ran into a truck after skidding on the road. An unidentified man was hospitalized with a cranial-cerebral trauma, contusion and open fracture of the shank bones after he was struck by a VAZ car on the Balti-Floresti route. According to the traffic police, the pedestrian was to blame as he was jaywalking. The four traffic accidents that happened in Moldova on Thursday resulted in six persons injured.
