Three men were injured by a car last night, July 31, on a sidewalk at the intersection of Hancesti highway and Academiei Street in Chisinau. They were hit by a vehicle that tried to avoid collision with another car. The spokesman of the National Center of Emergency Medicine Petru Cravet told Info-Prim Neo that the three men, aged 36, suffered traumas and fractures of various severeness. A man suffered a head trauma, brain concussion and fracture of the femur. The second man suffered a head trauma and was hospitalized in the oral and maxillofacial surgery ward. The third suffered a closed fracture of the left humerus and of several ribs. The press officer of the Traffic Police Department Antonina Talpa told Info-Prim Neo that an investigation will be started regarding the violations of traffic safety rules or imprudent use of vehicles that caused medium damage to bodily integrity and health. If the driver is found guilty, he risks a fine of 300 conventions units or up to 3 years in jail. The 35 year old driver is from Ialoveni district. He was sober and had his driver’s license.
