Three drugs will be fully compensated. Among them is deflazacortum that is used to treat immune system disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis and such rare diseases as epidermolysis bullosa and muscular dystrophy. The other two medicines are levetiracetamum that is used to treat epilepsy and the innovative drug aripiprazolum that is prescribed to children younger than 18 in cases of schizophrenia and manic episodes from moderate to severe, IPN reports.
The National Health Insurance Company (CNAM) said the list of medicines compensated with money from the mandatory health insurance funds was supplemented with six international common names indicated in the treatment of ten diseases. A common order of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection and the CNAM took effect on January 25, together with its publication of the Official Gazette.
Compensations of 30% to 70% of the price will be provided in the case of a number of medicines.
The CNAM said over 678 million lei was planned in the 2021 mandatory health insurance funds for compensating pharmaceutical preparations.
