Two people, the driver and a passenger, were killed instantly in a traffic accident this morning on the national road R-14 near a village in Singerei district. Another occupant of the same car died while being rushed to hospital.

A spokesperson for the Singerei Police told IPN the car collided with a truck. The occupants of the truck remained unharmed.

Two other passengers of the car, including a 16-year-old, have been admitted to the Balti District Hospital.

The causes of the accident are being investigated.

In a separate traffic accident last night, seven people were killed near Chisinau's suburban village of Vatra.
