Three persons lost their lives in a serious accident that happened on the Balti-Sarateni road on December 28. The accident involved a Dacia Logan car and a Mercedes truck. The 32-year-old driver of the Dacia and two female passengers of 49 and 18 died on the spot, while the third passenger aged 25 was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, Traffic Police Division spokeswoman Dana Andronic has told Info-Prim Neo. The driver of the Dacia lost control of the car at a turn, went on the opposite lane and collided laterally with a Mercedes. According to the police, the driver did not adjust the speed to the weather conditions. A number of 63 accidents caused by speeding have happened on the national roads this month. Nineteen persons were killed, while more than 100 were hurt.
