Three killed by heating stoves
Three persons died last week because of careless use of heating devices.
On December 8, a defective burner stove leaked carbon monoxide and killed a woman, 67, in Ustia village, Dubasari district.
Two other casualties were registered on December 9 in Sadaclia village, Basarabeasca district. A woman, 73, and her son, 45, died in a fire in their summer kitchen after the chimney exploded.
On December 5, a fire broke out in a Chisinau apartment as a result of short-circuit in the fridge. The firefighters rescued 9 persons, including 4 children.
According to official accounts, 2,492 fires occurred in Moldova since the start of this year, claiming 180 deaths.
